Beresford Estate is a 70-acre working vineyard producing award-winning wines of nuanced excellence located in the world-class wine region of McLaren Vale.

Established in 1985 in the heart of McLaren Vale, Beresford wines is family-owned and passionately South Australian. Our winemakers apply their extraordinary knowledge and expertise to handcraft wines of celebrated distinction, heroing the individuality and diversity of the McLaren Vale region. 

Our vineyard is a true representation of McLaren Vale’s most successful wine-grape varieties – 50 year old gnarly old bush vine Grenache, balanced Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon and leading clones of Chardonnay. Beresford Tasting Pavilion welcomes guests for guided tasting experiences.

The Vale Restaurant comprises a state-of-the-art micro-brewing facility, Bar and commercial restaurant, set amongst vineyards with breathtaking views overlooking the region. 

The Vale Brewing, Bar & Restaurant creates sensory local food and beverage experiences combining sight, sound, smell, touch and taste whilst utilising its spectacular natural setting reflecting the strong relationship between the original South Australian Craft beer brand and the region. Experiences include paired beer and local produce flights, brewhouse tours and use of innovative technology to enhance our experiences.

Beresford House | Saturday, 16th July | $165 per adult | 6:30pm

McLaren Vale’s Beresford House will host guests for an indulgent dinner set to feature the best local food prepared by Executive Chef, John Rankin and Beresford wines.

The venue – usually accessible only for private events – is opening exclusively for Tasting Australia’s Winter Series. Guests will enjoy canapés ahead of a three-course meal and six matched wines, with tours of the house also on offer during the evening. Its indoor fireplace is the perfect spot to linger and strike up a conversation.

Beresford House is nestled within 70 acres of working vineyards and was created with modern architectural precision. Luxury touches abound fine furniture and artworks set the scene for special dining experiences, while outside sprawling lawns and an old pepper tree frame panoramic view.

The Beresford label was established in 1985 and remains family owned. Chief winemaker Chris Dix and his team produce an award-winning range that includes shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, rosé and a sparkling premium cuvée.

Wine tasting in the bottom pavilion was lovely, sit and watch the kangaroos run through the vines. On staff recommendation we went up the hill to The Vale Taphouse for gin tasting and an amazing sunset. Then had a magnificent 3 course dinner that was devine. It's such a great set up with staff happily driving you up and down the hill so you can both relax and enjoy your time. There is NOTHING too difficult for their amazing staff, all so friendly and knowledgeable and just make your stay perfect. We came to McLaren Vale for the weekend to explore but ended up staying 80% of the time at Beresford as we just wanted to soak in all they offer. We've decided a yearly stay here is a must...the heated plunge pool on a cold day was fabulous. Service was excellent with decent food to boot. We did the estate and classic wine tasting which both were worth the trip to McLaren Flat.There is also gin tasting from the famous 23rd street distillery as well. The outdoor seating has good views of the estate and surrounding vineyards. The perfect getaway amongst the vineyard in exceptionally appointed accommodation. The accommodation’s decor is beautiful with Italian furniture and luxury inclusions from the Cloud 9 hairdryer & straightener, Breville Coffee Machine to the clothes steamer. The bed feels like sleeping on clouds and the view - wow!This is all made so much better by the inspirational menu created by Chef John and the fantastic staff, all of which have been so welcoming.
